Intern Software Engineer - Dataplane

Normalyze is a cybersecurity startup and we are looking to hire an Intern to join our Dataplane team.  This will be a 10 week internship and you will work remotely with our team.
We hire the best minds in technology to innovate and build on behalf of our customers. Our interns write real software and collaborate with our engineering team who guide interns on projects that matter to our business. As an intern, you will be matched to a manager and a mentor. You will have the opportunity to influence the evolution of Normalyze technology and help with critical projects in the early stages of your career. Your development skills will play a part in solving some of the complex technical challenges we face in building the world’s best DSPM offering to our customers.
As a Software Engineering Intern for Normalyze, you will have an opportunity to build the next generation cloud and data security solutions. You will have an opportunity to learn the internals of major public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc,), and put that into action developing product features. You will develop features on our scalable microservices based infrastructure, and deliver quickly using the newest CICD technologies to make a large impact.

Requirements

• Completed 3 years of university studies, or be in a post graduate program, in CS/EECS or similar
• Knowledge in building applications and services in one of AWS, GCP, and Azure
• Experience with databases such as Postgres, Oracle, Mysql, Snowflake, etc (at least 2)
• 2+ years of experience in Python or NodeJS is preferred
• Passionate and interest in cloud security is preferred
• Prior experience building SaaS products is a plus
• Prior experience with frontend is a plus
• Strong software design, complexity analysis, development and debugging skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
