STAFF ACCOUNTANT

The Staff Accountant will support the monthly close (i.e. intercompany transactions between Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Health System (MHS) affiliates), be responsible for the preparation of daily ACH/wires within Bank of America (i.e. payroll and accounts payable requests), prepare annual submission forms for external agencies (i.e. Build NYC - Tenants), prepare the annual bad use calculation workbook,  process the monthly payroll sales tax, assistance with various account reconciliations ( including bank reconciliation and balance sheet),tag and maintain record keep of capital equipment, process student loan deposits and update student balance records and other administrative assistance (i.e. yearend audit) 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in business or a related field required
• 1 year of work experence as an accountant required 

• Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Access and Word required.

• Knowledge and experience with Banner/Infor or other major accounting systems strongly desired.
