Job Duties

This position maintains the Patient Fund Accounts (PFA) system for Piedmont Geriatric Hospital (PGH) and to perform various fiscal related function related to General ledger, budget, local funds, etc., for the Nottoway Campus, including Piedmont Geriatric Hospital and the Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation. Also serves as back up for the VCBR PFA position.
-Working knowledge of accounting procedures.
-Good mathematical skills, communication and verification skills.
-Knowledge of basic computer concepts.
-Demonstrated ability to keypunch and prepare fiscal reports.
-Working knowledge of basic computer concepts.
This position requires extensive sitting/keying at a computer. Sporadic retrieval of input/output documents is necessary which requires frequent standing, walking, bending and reaching. Some lifting required in handling and storage of documents.

Minimum Qualifications

-Working knowledge of accounting procedures.
-Good mathematical skills, communication and verification skills.
-Knowledge of basic computer concepts.
-Demonstrated ability to keypunch and prepare fiscal reports.

Additional Considerations

-Equivalent combination of training and experience indicating possession of the preceding KSAs preferred
-Training in accounting and computers preferred

PGH is a facility operated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). PGH is a 123-bed psychiatric facility and the only facility that exclusively serves individuals over the age of 65.
