Your Impact

As the Senior Manager, Training Operations, you will oversee and streamline our administrative operations on a global scale. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing administrative functions, strong leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to solving complex challenges. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency and supporting the company’s mission to deliver world-class training programs.

You will be lead a team of administrative managers and personnel, who work to support Axon’s Global Training Team. Administrative operations ensures that the delivery of training, product demos, and large scale events that drive product adoption by Axon customers, is supported and resourced appropriately. 

You will manage a team who directly supports a network of over 200 contracted Master Instructors with the delivery of Axon Training courses, connects with host agencies to coordinate and deliver back office workflows required to support agency partners who host Axon Training courses. Additionally, you will own all aspects of administrative strategy and planning for all Axon’s Global Training mission.

What You’ll Do

Location: Remotely from US OR Onsite at our Scottsdale, AZ Headquarters
Reports to: Director, Training
Direct Reports: 3-4

  • Administrative Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of administrative professionals across multiple regions and countries, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement efficient administrative processes and procedures to improve workflow and productivity.
  • Resource Management: Join Forces with the Global Logistics Manager on resource allocation, including budget management, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives that support organizational growth and scalability.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate operational risks through effective governance and controls.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate departmental performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide professional development opportunities for administrative staff to enhance skills and capabilities.
  • Special Projects: Lead or contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in administrative management roles, preferably within the training or technology industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strategic Thinker: Strong strategic planning and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Global Perspective: Experience managing administrative operations in a global or multi-national organization.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business software; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
