Human Resources Manager, Motion Safety

Checkers, a subsidiary of Justrite Safety Group (JSG), is looking for a Manager, Human Resources Business Partner, for their Motion Safety business unit. This is a Full-Time, Exempt position which will work from our Broomfield, CO facility. This role will directly support the VP/GM of the business unit and the Plant leadership team in Broomfield. In addition, the HR Coordinator in Broomfield, and HR Generalist in our sister facility in Titusville, PA will also report into this role.
Summary:
This role will serve as a business partner to the business unit’s operations facilities by developing and driving policies and programs related to the human resource function and will work closely with upper management to ensure success of these programs. This position will also ensure the work culture, employee engagement, recruiting & retention, and collaboration between departments are internally aligned with the Motion Safety business unit strategy as well as the JSG corporate strategy. The position reports to the JSG Chief Human Resources Officer with a matrix reporting relationship to the VP/GM Motion safety.
Responsibilities:
• Manage Human Resource Function: Direct and coordinate the HR function in accordance with corporate policy and procedures. Lead department to add value to the business in areas including staffing, employee relations, staffing, performance, training and development, compliance, safety, and other functions.
• Strategy, Policy, and Procedures: Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the Broomfield facility that ensures alignment with the Motion Safey BU and JSG corporate human resources.
• Employee Relations: Develop and maintain employee relations initiatives, culture and engagement that emphasizes empowerment and continuous improvement. Promote an open-door environment to ensure good employee relations and services. Provide a work environment that is fair, unbiased, and inclusive.
• Leverage company HRIS system: processing bi-weekly payroll, employee orientation, on-boarding/off-boarding, collaborating with the Talent Acquisition (“TA”) team in the recruiting process, and performance management process.
• Health & Safety: Assist in maintaining health and safety programs for all facets of the Broomfield facility in support of the Environmental, Health & Safety Manager. Recommend measures that will reduce or eliminate hazards in the workplace. Assist in following all applicable safety regulations and ensure appropriate safety training is conducted.
• Workers’ Compensation: Assist the EHS Manager with the management of workers’ compensation claims and make recommendations to ensure the facility stays on the leading edge of workers’ compensation strategy.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal and regulatory employment laws.
Requirements:
• BS/BA degree in Human Resources or relevant field required.
• 5+ years of experience in Human Resources Management and Employee Relations.
• Knowledgeable in employment law at the CO state and federal levels.
• Must have the ability to interact and execute at all levels of the company (production employees to VP/GM levels).
• Experience in coaching at all levels with track record for change management.
• Experience as an HR manager manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple obligations; meet deadlines while under pressure; self-discipline.
• Ability to problem solve and create options for roadblocks with agility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
• Team player – flexible, able to adjust to shifting priorities; positive “can-do” attitude.
• Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include knowledge of Excel, Word, and experience in HRIS.

Salary range: $100,000-$110,000. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
