The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Contracts within the Short and Medium Range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD) area.  In this role, the selected candidate will support Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) opportunities and Department of Defense (DoD) contracts. This role demands a multi-faceted Principal Specialist to solve complex challenges with creative solutions.  The candidate’s attributes should include experience with terms and conditions risk assessment, negotiations, understanding of the implications of international work and excellent communication skills.

What You Will Do

  • Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company goals, and comply with company policies.

  • Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop and maintain business relationships

  • Support the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contract execution, as well as general contract administration

  • Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure the contract is followed compliantly

  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues as they may arise

  • Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks

  • Some travel as required to customer or Raytheon sites (approximately once per quarter)

What You Will Learn

Wide breadth of complex contractual and business problem-solving experience in dynamic performance environment under Direct Commercial Sales contracts

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience

  • Experience with one or more of the following: Contracts Administration, Program/Project Management, Supply Chain Management/Administration
