The SRE will provide direct oversight and supervision of the unit(s) and all unit staff; provides engineering direction for the administration and inspection of multiple, complex construction contracts/projects, assuring the work performed conforms with construction plans and specifications, and complies with local, state and federal requirements. <br/><br/>The SRE is responsible for ensuring that all work performed complies with engineering practices; performs administrative duties to include personnel and resource management; initiates and monitors safe work processes, ensuring training requirements are fulfilled for self and staff. <br/><br/>The SRE is responsible for the oversight and supervision of consultant engineering services.</span></p> <p><strong><em><span>*This position is eligible for a $4,000 hiring incentive</span></em></strong></p> </div> <div> <span>Job Duties:</span> </div> <div> <p><span>Provide engineering and technical direction for the administration of multiple, complex construction contracts to assure work is performed in a manner that provides a functional, durable project that meets design intent. Monitor and enforce safety processes.</span></p> <p><span>Administrative duties including personnel management, evaluation, discipline, hiring, termination and guidance of subordinate personnel relating to the departments prevailing policies and procedures.<br/><br/>Responsible for setting all work standards within the unit assuring that maximum organizational efficiency is achieved, and accomplishing district and division objectives related to construction processes on ADOT projects.
