Senior Director, IS Planning and Management

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. The Opportunity:
We are seeking a seasoned professional to establish and lead the Planning and Management office within the Information Sciences (IS) Department. As a key member of the IS Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, your focus is to ensure that the IS organization excels both strategically and operationally: “doing the right things” and “doing things right”. Your role will involve setting strategic planning and governance principles and processes, driving cross-functional prioritization, timely project completion, and achieving operational excellence through expert budget planning and financial management.

Build and manage a core team of project management and operations specialists to support the business needs of IS and its partners.

Work closely with IS Leadership to generate harmonized program management standards and templates for project portfolio management, project execution, and communication of results.

Drive adoption of project management software, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide real-time visibility into project status, risks, and financials.

Produce a performance monitoring framework, defining relevant metrics and implementing effective reporting mechanisms to track performance of individual projects and across the portfolio.

Drive enterprise adoption of IS project management standards for all technology initiatives.

Serve as the focal point for management of the IS budget: budget planning and development, monitoring and analyzing spending, and reporting and communication of performance against budget.

Promote best practices in how IS manages contracting, procurement, and budgeting to ensure consistent, transparent, and efficient value delivery.

Leverage knowledge of relevant enterprise solutions to streamline processes to increase capacity necessary to support growth.

Generate comprehensive on-boarding tools and information sources to enable new department hires to get up to speed quickly.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of 15 years in the delivery of technology services and support.

A minimum of 5 to 7 years of team management and leadership experience.
Preferred Skills:

Experience in pharma, life sciences, or a related industry preferred.

Relevant certifications in project and change management are a plus.

Experience with an IT governance framework such as COBIT or ITIL is desirable.
