About the role

Description

The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, at Texas A&M University invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track visiting professor of the practice position with a 4.5-month academic appointment to begin in Fall 2025. We are particularly interested in candidates who are experienced industry professionals and/or consultants. The successful candidate will be required to teach specific courses for our Master's in Industrial and Organizational Psychology (MSIOP) program, support MSIOP students through professional development and mentoring, and act as an engaged citizen of the department, college, university, and their field.

 

The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Texas A&M University is a community of scholars committed to generating scientific discoveries in the discipline, providing rigorous and inspiring undergraduate and graduate education, and engaging in outreach about psychology and the application of psychological science. We value collaboration, with many faculty having grants and research projects with colleagues inside and beyond the department. The Department has numerous programs to support early career faculty, including a formal mentoring program. 

 

In addition to our graduate programs in industrial-organizational psychology, we offer doctoral programs in clinical psychology, cognition and cognitive neuroscience, social and personality psychology, and behavioral and cellular neuroscience. We currently have 50 full-time faculty, over 100 PhD students, and approximately 2,000 undergraduate majors.

Qualifications

  • A PhD in Psychology or related field with minimum of 3 years experience and have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in the applied setting, or;
  • A Master's degree in Psychology or related field with experience (5+years required, 10 years preferred), and have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting.
