About the role

Part time - Radiology Tech |Outpatient - Diagnostic Imaging Services
Hours between 7:00a-7:30p | Occasional Weekend + Holiday Coverage | 56hr Biweekly

Performs radiographic procedures. Serves as a resource to other staff member. Obtains and documents clinical information from all patients. Operates radiographic equipment, understands and is competent with Digital Radiography equipment, prepares exam rooms, and prepares contrast medication. Cleans radiographic rooms, obtains and organizes supplies. Prepares patient for exams; explains procedures and assists other staff members as needed.  Observes patients and equipment during procedure and reports unusual occurrences immediately, records pertinent patient information in QA logs, computers, requests or reports.  The above statement reflects the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified, and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the position. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education - Completion of Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.

Experience - One year of experience as a radiographer preferred.

Licensure/Certification - Registration as an American Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).  Licensure by State of Maryland as Radiologic Technologist. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Knowledge of radiographic devices and their operation. Understanding of procedures in order to obtain diagnostic images. Should know how to communicate with patients. Ability to manage complex work environment. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
