For every child, the right to a Champion
You report to the Child Protection Manager for supervision. The Child Protection Manager will serve as the Gaza Technical lead on Child Protection Systems Strengthening overseeing the implementation of emergency and recovery programming, providing professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for child protection programmes/projects within the Country Programme from development planning to delivery of results. You will prepare, execute, manage, and implement a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluating and reporting, in particular in the area of care reform and case management.

To qualify as a champion for every child you will have…
Minimum requirements:
- Education: A university degree in one of the following fields is required: international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law, or another relevant social science field.
- Work Experience: A minimum of two years of professional experience in social development planning and management in child protection related areas is required, in particular on child protection system strengthening, case management and family based alternative care.
- Skills: Programme Management, Approval Process, Review Process.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Arabic are required.
Desirables:
- Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language
- Relevant experience related areas in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
