Sr. Accountant - NAIP

The Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager - Reconditioning and will be a key member of the RECO/NALP Accounting team and work in collaboration with RECO/NALP accounting team and the reconditioning finance team. Candidate must be a self-starter, adept at communicating with multiple levels of an organization, and have the ability to build trust, influence, and work with teams cross functionally.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare month end close JEs for inventory, capitalized-freight, customer-owned drums, in-transit, inventory deferral, SLOB as well as additional entries as needed
• Inventory accounting oversight and maintain inventory and unvouchered payables sub-ledgers
• Resource for Site Accountants related to inventory issues
• Maintain standard costs and calculation of new standards as needed
• Prepare schedules needed for the BS analysis
• FP&A Deliverables – Variances, Forecast, Budget as needed
• Support plant accounting for 2-3 manufacturing locations
• Work with teams on intercompany related transactions
• Prepare account reconciliations as assigned 
• Ad-hoc analytics and assist on projects as needed
• Assist with external audit needs
• Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders across the company

Requirements

• Accounting degree
• Inventory experience
• experience preparing account reconciliations and JEs
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including month end close
• Comfortable working in a Fast-Paced Environment
• Large ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics SL a plus)
• Strong Excel skills a must
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
