PSE's Gas Operations team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Engineering Assistant position!

Job Description

Performs standard work in support of department needs. Duties may include data and records management, conducting, analyzing and researching information, project support, and working directly with customers. Supports emergency response operations when needed.

Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.

Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct.  Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.

This job is considered “safety sensitive” as defined in RCW 49.44.240 and is subject to pre-employment drug screening that includes screening for the presence of marijuana and marijuana metabolites.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs various tasks in support of department needs using applications and tools specific to job assignments and discipline. Examples may include:
  • Reviews and assesses data and records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Documents research for system compliance requirements.
  • Creates and updates data and records in the system of record and GIS applications.
  • Performs data and records management.
  • Works directly with customers to make access arrangements.
• Ensures compliance with codes, standards, and design requirements.
• Updates to department standards, processes, and tools.
• Supports emergency response work as requested including immediate and extended restoration efforts driven by weather and other system failures 
• Performs other duties as assigned.
   

Minimum Qualifications

• High School graduate with technical field experience or drafting certificate or equivalent experience. 
• Effective communication and organizational skills. 
• Proficient with PC software. 

Desired Qualifications

• Utility experience, knowledge of subject matter within assigned area of focus.
• Experience working with both internal and external customers.
• Ability to work effectively to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment on mulitple projects.
• Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as a part of a team to drive results.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.
• Experience using a variety of business applications and analysis tools such as Visio, Power Point, Excel, Word, Power BI, and SAP Modules.
• Experience using GIS.

The pay range for this position is $59,300.00 - $92,100.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
