Summary
As head of the Dallas office, the Assistant Manager - EC SCM Team 1 (Border Crossing) will be responsible for border crossing freight sales, freight forwarding operations, planning and implementing sales, and marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Responsibilities
• Border Crossing Freight Operations Management
- Review Daily Transactions of North (MEX-US) and South (US-MEX) bound logistics service activity and diagnose any problematic transactions
- Review revenue and cost of operation
- Annual rate negotiations with Customers and Vendors
- Prepare monthly Revenue/Cost forecast
- Final reviewer of closing file that were prepared by staff, team members and vendors
- Vendor development for cost efficiency and performance improvement
- Sustain Current In/Outbound Logistics Business in the Region
- Manage daily operation of In/Outbound logistics, including domestic, international Air & Ocean shipments
- Task business organization and process properly, which will include but not limited to business planning, new business setup, sales, invoicing, collection and customer satisfaction and periodic management reporting
- Manage, train and develop staff, provide feedback and keep team on task
- Customer Service and Management
- Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities
- Meet marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
• Sales, Market Research, and Competitive Analysis
- Identify marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share
- Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development
- Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Development of domestic/international transportation business in region
- Top Management Supports
- Accomplish top management mission by completing related results as needed
Compensation
$80,000-$90,000/Year (Subject to Compensation once Candidate is selected)

Education & Experience
• Bachelors Degree Required
• 5-8 years of Direct Experience in Transportation, Freight Forwarding, SCM, or Logistics
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
• Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
• Stand/walk
