Legend Biotech is seeking Sr. Manager, Commercial CAR-T Operations as part of the Commercial team

Role Overview

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Commercial & CAR-T Operations, the Sr. Manager, Commercial CAR T Operations is responsible for supporting all aspects of U.S. CAR-T operations. This includes activities such as execution and implementation of strategic CAR T Operations plans, professional onboarding and qualification/certification of sites, collaboration with internal and external CAR-T stakeholders, including participation in Legend/Janssen alliance activities, cross functional project team leadership, and external partner / client program support.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Build and maintain close relationships with key internal stakeholders and functions in the areas of marketing, sales leadership, supply chain, manufacturing, clinical, and medical.
  • Develop operational capabilities for external CAR-T operators for both clinical and commercial CAR T institutions in the U.S.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the CAR T Commercial Operations platform
  • Manage and support CAR T operations and account/site onboarding to ensure CAR T institutions certification
  • Design customer experience and site operations programs within functional areas
  • Develop operational capabilities to evaluate and assess, in real time, CAR T center capacity, capabilities and infrastructure, ensuring the implementation of relevant processes and SOPs, and ensuring proper preparation (training, logistics, RMP, etc.) of all dedicated internal and external functions
  • Evaluates customer and operational needs to develop and improve performance metrics
  • Develop & implement commercial order support program analysis and reporting capability
  • Defines data and analytics strategies, and ensured platform validation and deployment strategies are in place to turn models and solutions into deliverables and actionable insights
  • Anticipates and incorporates emerging influential trends and customer feedback into future design concepts
  • Coaches others to support data governance and data management guidelines

Requirements

  • University degree (B.A. /B.S.) required, life science, informatics, and/or healthcare management preferred. Master’s degree a plus.
  • 10+ years Pharma / Biotech experience, or equivalent in Life Sciences Consulting.
  • Hematology/oncology knowledge, experience in the field of allogeneic transplantation and/or cellular therapies (CAR T), preferred
  • Experience with Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or other programming languages is highly desired.
  • Experience in customer centric operations, with preference to direct experience interacting with Oncology Centers of Excellence
  • Experience working with remote field based employees
  • Proven track record in working across relevant stakeholders(s), e.g. medical, sales, marketing and/or account management
  • Strong project and process management skills, IT technical competencies, prior experience with cell therapy Chain of Custody / Chain of Identity IT solutions preferred (i.e. Vineti)
  • Strategic and analytical thinker, with a well-balanced medical/science, technical and commercial mindset
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills (verbal/written), ability to build and maintain reliable internal customer relationships
  • Skilled team player, with collaborative mindset and proven experience in team coordination and/or cross-functional leadership
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. healthcare environment, applicable laws, regulations and standards preferred
  • Agile learner with the ability to work effectively in complex, rapidly changing environments and to prioritize activities effectively
  • Strong analytical capabilities with emphasis on data collection and analysis methodologies.
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
