POSITION SUMMARY:
Biostatistics plays a critical role in pioneering life-transforming treatments.  The candidate will partner with Indivior statisticians, clinicians, clinical pharmacologists, and other scientists to support statistical analyses of clinical studies.  The candidate will be involved in the design, execution, analysis, and reporting clinical studies, and ensure the quality and appropriateness of statistical deliverables. She/he will review scientific literature and promote innovative statistical methods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Bring innovative statistical methods to enhance quantitative drug discovery. This includes systematic review of prior information, statistical model building and simulation, utilizing Bayesian methods as appropriate, to determine most appropriate study design, statistical methodologies, and design more effective clinical plans.
  • Participate in the development/develop and execute analytical plans.
  • Interpret study results, critically review statistical outputs, ensure that the interpretations of the statistical results are scientifically sound, accurate and consistent with planned objectives.
  • Prepare oral and written report to effectively communicate results of clinical trials to Indivior management or regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in the development of publications to report statistical results.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PhD candidate in the field of Biostatistics/Statistics (must be enrolled in school for duration of internship).
  • Demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, ability to communicate clearly statistical concepts to non-statisticians.
  • Demonstrate problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of technical competency, including with statistical modeling.
  • Strong working Knowledge of SAS programming, winNonlin and R.
  • Good knowledge of Bayesian methods, and understanding of methods for missing data handling, multiplicity and Gatekeeping procedures in Clinical trials.
