Operations Associate - Quality / Weekend Shift (Fri - Sun 7:00am - 7:30pm)

Shift: Weekend (R) Shift ~ Fri- Sun, 7:00am - 7:30pm
Pay Rate: $19.75 + $0.75 shift differential
Purpose:
This position is an entry-level quality position that is directly responsible for all quality audits within the Distribution Center. Quality Inspectors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all warehouse processes, newly received inbound factory cartons and outbound cartons to customers. Quality Inspector is responsible to ensure that product received is compliant with the global Adidas warehouse standards. The Quality Inspector is also responsible for ensuring that product shipped from the Distribution Center meets the global, national, and state compliance guidelines. The quality inspector is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all recorded dimensions of a product to ensure that product is allocated correctly. All quality inspections are to improve the customer experience and reduce customer chargebacks.
- Identify, set aside and document all suspect or defective products.
- Upon training this position will be expected to independently perform one of a variety of different inspection processes.
- Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence
- Verify that all proper special handling at source (SHAS) is completed correctly prior to shipping
- Measure and document all dimensions of product inside of the distribution center.
- Recording and reporting of any issues regarding labelling, packaging or quality in the Smartsheet database along with quality tools used in the daily operation (inclusive of any value-added service requirements)
- Analyse, communicate, and recommend solutions for issues that arise during inbound and outbound audits
- Observe and report incorrect processes/problems in receiving, packing, vas, seeding, and shipping
- Complete daily reports on current issues, WIP levels and area readiness to opposite shifts
- Will support with training quality inspectors
- Educate and coach all repeat quality offenders on the correct defect free process
- Communication - This position will communicate directly with Operations and Quality
- Cross-trained in operational departments to support the business during peak volumes
- 5S – This position will be responsible for maintaining 5s standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills such as internet, Windows, ability to use a mouse and/or touchscreen
- Ability to read, write, count and distinguish colors
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written in English
- Ability to use equipment, including but not limited to: box knife, RF scanner, manual and power pallet jacks
- Basic math skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Essential Functions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
- work in a warehouse environment with noise, dust and varying temperatures
- regularly required to talk, hear; sit, stand and/or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and/or twist for up to twelve (12) hours/day
- occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel and/or crouch
- occasionally lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
- work safely on elevated surfaces (2nd level mezzanine)
- able to reliably attend work/scheduled hours
