You Will

  • Champion Grainger's Metalworking strategy both internally (whole company) and externally (industry associations, customers and suppliers)
  • Manage, coach and develop 10 Metalworking Specialists (MWS) to essential performance drivers and meet defined revenue goals
  • Partner with corporate and local leaders to ensure effective execution and penetration of our Metalworking program
  • Work with Sales, Segment and Product Management teams to address market needs and Grainger offerings
  • Create and expand relationship with essential contacts in aligned markets and industry overall
  • Stay current on Metalworking trends and market conditions
  • Exercise and support CI efforts to evaluate and improve program effectiveness


 

You Have

Technical Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years Metalworking Supplier or Industrial distribution experience.
  • B2B sales management experience with a distributor or metalworking manufacturer.
  • Business analysis experience and the ability to identify improvement opportunities.
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.

General Skills

  • Demonstrated experience resulting in the achievement of sales and operations goals through others.
  • Strategic approach to managing your team effectively.
  • Strong systems applications skills (including intermediate MS Excel (can perform complex functions).
  • Understanding financial reporting and can assess needs, costs/budgets, and economic earnings.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning.
