Join us!</p><p>The Senior Systems Engineer performs system-level engineering work, in particular for requirements definition and verification, system and sub-system design and analysis, use case definition, interface design. The tasks cover all technical activities related to the satcom and In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) products of the company. So, a deep technical knowledge and willingness to learn is required, since the person is normally the natural reference, internally and towards external partners (customers and suppliers), for many technical questions. The preparation, maintenance and control of the company technical documentation is also part of the person’s responsibilities.<br/></p><p><br/><strong>Main Tasks and Responsibilities:<br/></strong></p><ul> <li>Translate customer needs into system and equipment requirements </li> <li>High-level system and sub-system design </li> <li>Create and maintain Use Cases and requirement documents </li> <li>Analyze and verify design meets requirements </li> <li>Design and verify sub-system interfaces </li> <li>Participate in creation and presentation of design reviews, both internal and for customers </li> <li>Technical project and WorkPackage management, also in R&D projects (if required) </li> <li>Mentor junior colleagues to increase their technical knowledge of the company products, and to learn or improve a system-engineering approach to their work </li> <li>Scout the market for novel relevant technologies and initiate the required steps to investigate them and possibly bring them into the company products</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li> Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field</li> <li>System Engineering Master of Science Degree and/or INCOSE certificate are welcome but not mandatory </li> <li>6+ years of experience working in a system engineering role in the field of In-Flight Connectivity/Entertainment, Aerospace, Satellite Communications, or similar </li> <li>Experience with DOORS and/or model-based system engineering tools (like CAMEO) </li> <li>IP Networking knowledge </li> <li>Satellite Communications knowledge</li> </ul><p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></p><ul> <li>Strong written and verbal English communication skills </li> <li>Proactive, organized and a team player mindset </li> <li>Ability to efficiently resolve problems </li> <li>Ability to accomplish multiple tasks </li> <li>Continuous desire to learn and improve </li> <li>Ability to work independently, with minimal direction </li> <li>Ability to use discretion and independent judgment when making decisions on behalf of the company<br/> </li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>You will have the opportunity to contribute to challenging tasks in the field of Aviation and Inflight Entertainment technologies.
