About the role

The Position

Territory: Primary support for the greater Tampa area

Travel Requirements: This position has up to 60% travel requirements. Most of the travel will be local, but may include some overnight travel to support other parts of the region as required.

The Opportunity:


Responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives in targeted accounts responsible for the Roche Diagnostics Core Laboratory portfolio of products across specified territories. Typically, responsible for medium to large accounts or have a medium to large quota/territory.

Must develop customer prospects and create and maintain relationships with decision makers. Contacts/visits existing and potential customers. Works to build and maintain network of colleagues, partners, and customers to share information and obtain prospects. Additionally, position requires value quantification presentations to potential customers.

Must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of product line and have a more in-depth knowledge of other products or services. A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization. Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented position. Has a complete knowledge of company products and services. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. Responsible for selling the company's products or services, developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.
 

You will be responsible for the sales strategy development and achievement of the desired revenue, customer satisfaction, retention, and acquisition goals for Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay instruments, Modular Pre-Analytics Automation, and Middleware Solutions within assigned territory.

Minimum Qualifications:

● High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience
● 5 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking or a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 1-2 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software, or
networking/wireless networking
● Successfully training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy
● Ability to travel, including some overnight travel, is required

Preferred Qualifications:


● 8+ years of progressive experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 4+ years of progressive experience
● Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology
● Ability to serve as an internal technical resource for lower level staff
● Knowledge of basic chemistry
● Ability to work after hours, provide weekend and holiday support on a rotated basis within an assigned territory and/or geographic region and be on call 24/7 during rotation
● Good written/verbal communication, organization and prioritization skill
● Highly effective customer service skills, which includes a positive attitude, helpful customer interaction, and maintenance of ongoing customer relationships
● Ability to train and mentor, and serve as the expert technical resource for lower level staff
● Advanced knowledge of basic chemistry
