JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
The Truck Driver Senior operates heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, and other heavy equipment used in the construction, maintenance, and repair of county roads and right-of-ways. Haul construction materials and transport equipment to various sites throughout the county using assigned tractor-trailers, lowboys, and trucks with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency. Assist with manual labor for asphalt roads, gravel roads, and culvert maintenance, repair and construction. Respond to emergencies and snow removal operations 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by reporting to an assigned shop within one hour of being called.
SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position operating on a 40 hour work week.
COMPENSATION:
Hiring Range: $30-31 USD Hourly
Compensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Operate a tractor-trailer or truck and trailer combination, water truck, plow truck, and other heavy equipment in preparation of construction and maintenance operations.
Securely load materials and all equipment on lowboy trailers, safely transport to work sites throughout the County, and carefully unload the materials and equipment. Ensure equipment arrives at the site in a safe operating condition.
Safely perform equipment recovery operations using specialized winch and cable equipment.
Understand and follow the rules and regulations pertaining to loaded weight, overweight, and oversize transport and permitting.<
