Facility Technician - CDL is required!

 

Triumvirate Environmental, one of North America's leading environmental services firms, is looking for a Facility Technician to join our Orlando team!

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented team player who will be responsible for moving tractor trailers from the staging area to the loading dock, assisting with the loading and offloading of freight, and occasionally making local deliveries. Additionally, this individual will support the manager with various tasks as needed.

This position reports to Facility Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Orlando, FL facility.

Responsibilities: 

• Learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices
• Waste and document preparation; regulatory and safety review
• Move Box trucks and Trailers around the yard
• Load & unload incoming & outgoing trucks
• Waste inventory management through the use of Triumvirate designed software and computerized waste tracking system
• Become familiar with packaging guidelines and disposal facility selection
• Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations, Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices, Triumvirate’s Part B permit, and EPA regulations
• Communicate effectively with end facilities as well as fellow employees to solve complex issues
• Develop respect and working relationship with coworkers
• Demonstrate the ability to be creative and solve unique problems
• WOW! internal and external customers!
• Ability to work as a team player
• Become forklift trained and be able to safely operate machinery
• Rotating on-call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team

Basic Requirements: 

• High School Degree
• CDL A with Hazmat endorsement (Required)
• Basic knowledge of or desire to learn hazardous waste field through
• Successful completion of OSHA/DOT physical examination
• Become fit tested for a respirator and be comfortable wearing respirator for multiple hours a week
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship 
• Must have a reliable form of transportation 
  
• Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC) 
  
• Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment 
  
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis 
  
• Ability to work overtime on a regular basis  
  
• Must be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts 
  
• Facility Technician handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive. 

Preferred Requirements: 

• Prior relevant industry experience 
• Active HAZWOPER 24- or 40-hour certification
