Job Summary:

Sleep Technician will assist with conducting sleep studies, polysomnography and diagnostics, scoring sleep studies

Responsibilities:

• Conducts sleep studies, performing polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services
• Adheres to established safety, sanitation, and equipment maintenance procedures.
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age-specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, as required.
• Performs related duties as required

Shift: PRN 

Requirements

• Certified by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists (CPSGT – Certified Polysomnographic Technician), recently Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Respiratory Therapist with the sleep disorder specialist certification ( CRT-SDS or RRT-SDS)
• At least (1) year of polysomnography experience.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Excellent planning, organizational, and oral/written communication skills are essential
