The Role

Our Social team is seeking a Jr. Copywriter, Social to help lead the creation of internet-native, scroll-stopping content. With a strong understanding of meme culture, platform trends, and fandom language, you will write clear, clever copy, concept social-first ideas, and ensure work meets the high-energy demands of our digital ecosystem.

The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in short-form social writing, including entertainment, media, or youth-driven brands. You are comfortable translating concepts into concise, platform-native language, collaborating closely with designers and motion artists, and sparking engagement through culturally relevant storytelling.

In this role, you will focus on short-form social copy including memes, captions, hooks, and punchy headlines. Responsibilities include concepting trend-hopping ideas, adapting existing media assets into fresh formats, and maintaining consistency in brand voice. You will work closely with the wider Creative and Social teams to bring digital-first ideas to life for clients like Disney, Warner Bros., and Prime Video. Because this role focuses heavily on social execution, a strong understanding of internet culture and platform nuances is essential.

Here’s What You’ll Do

Content Creation & Copywriting

• Write clear, clever, and culturally relevant social copy, including memes, captions, on-screen text, and headlines designed for maximum shareability and engagement.
• Support the execution of social-first creative ideas by translating complex campaign concepts into concise, platform-native language.
• Adapt existing assets, clips, and media libraries into fresh meme formats and social posts optimized for today’s rapid-response digital environment.
• Revise and refine copy based on creative feedback, performance insights, and evolving platform best practices.

Strategy & Trend Analysis

• Concept social-first creative ideas, including proactive trend-hopping to keep our clients at the center of the cultural conversation.
• Stay at the forefront of social trends, meme formats, fandom language, and internet culture to proactively bring relevant ideas to the internal team.
• Help maintain consistency in voice, tone, and messaging across all social content to ensure brand integrity across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Utilize a Big Tech mindset to understand how copy impacts performance metrics and KPIs, ensuring our content drives meaningful conversation.

Collaboration & Execution

• Partner closely with designers, motion artists, and senior creatives to ensure copy and visuals work seamlessly together to stop the scroll.
• Collaborate across departments to bring digital-first ideas to life for top-tier entertainment and brand clients like DoorDash and Coachella.
• Act as a digital native within the agency, ensuring our content feels authentic and relatable rather than like a brand trying too hard.
• Operate effectively within a fast-paced environment where rapid turnarounds and real-time trend responses are the daily standard.

Here’s What It Takes

• 1–3 years of experience writing copy for social media, preferably for entertainment, media, or youth/culture-driven brands.
• Strong short-form writing skills with a demonstrated ability to master internet-native language including memes, captions, and hooks.
• Deep familiarity with the nuances of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and evolving social formats.
• A strong sense of humor and high cultural awareness, with sharp instincts for what feels timely and shareable.
• Ability to take direction and collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary creative teams.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where trends move quickly.
