Are you an LPN in the Blair County area? Skills is looking for you! Skills of Central Pa is currently hiring for an LPN who will be based in Altoona but will also cover residential homes throughout Blair County. Skills provides supports and services to individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability. Our LPNs provide a day-to-day variety of nursing services and care to the people we support by using and maintaining established nursing objectives and standards, adhering to current nursing law. LPNs also provide training to Support Persons.
The LPNs Implement and evaluate preventive treatments respecting the rights of the people we support. The candidate must be flexible, a team player and able to take direction and follow through on the coordination of medical care for the people that we support. Effective written and verbal communications skills are necessary to be successful in this role; administrative experience preferred.
This position is based on a standard 8A-4P work week, Mon-Fri; however, nurses may need to be available for the homes they support outside of those hours, including weekends, evenings, and/or holidays if there is an emergency.

Requirements
LPN license required.
Nursing experience preferred.
Experience working with individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability is a plus!
Regular and on-site attendance is required.
Valid Pa Driver's license required (must maintain valid Pa Driver's license and a good driving record).
Pre-employment physical and drug screen are also required.
