Alation is looking for a strategic and data-driven Director of Marketing Operations. As a key member of the marketing team, you will play an important role in leading marketing planning and strategy, lead scoring and routing, targeting and segmentation, database hygiene and data privacy best practices, operation and optimization of the marketing technology stack, and the advancement of all revenue engine metrics, including multi-touch attribution and ROI.
The ideal candidate should possess a unique blend of marketing strategy and operations acumen, leadership, agility, and communication skills. This individual must have a passion for people management, data, metrics, and reporting, with an eye for operational efficiency and scalability.

Alation is looking for a strategic and data-driven Director of Marketing Operations. What you'll do:
- End-to-end marketing operations strategy and execution that will impact global revenue.
- Manage, recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing ops team.
- Build and oversee a robust pipeline reporting capability including oversight of global reporting and collaboration with the Data and Analytics team to deliver key dashboards to support the business.
- Implement and oversee lead source tracking and multi-touch attribution across all revenue engines and marketing channels to help channel owners make data-driven decisions.
- Define and constantly improve targeting and segmentation at the account and persona levels.
- Oversee campaign operations and the campaign setup process in Marketo and Salesforce, ensuring fast, flawless execution and accurate reporting.
- Continuously iterate and improve a data-driven lead scoring model to prioritize leads with the highest propensity to buy, ensuring timely and accurate lead routing.
- Oversee and refine all marketing automation processes and workflows.
- Manage marketing tech stack strategy and optimize to help us maximize ROI.
- Improve Salesforce and Marketo data quality, maintaining marketing database health and compliance in accordance with email deliverability requirements and global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CASL, CCPA, etc.)
You should have:
- 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing operations or similar role (SaaS/subscription experience preferred.)
- 5+ years of experience managing a team.
- Extensive experience with CRM data and deep knowledge of marketing/data/privacy policies and best practices.
- Deep expertise with Salesforce, Marketo, Bizible, and Lean data is required.
- Experience managing 6Sense or DemandBaseTop-notch people management skills with experience leading a global team.
- Experience working with revenue generation techniques of all types, and being the bridge between marketing, sales development, and sales.
- Experience working with senior marketing leadership on key reports for executive staff and board meetings.
- A proven track record of building systems/processes that support marketing and sales teams.
- Strong analytical skills and technical capability with a desire to improve processes.
- Exceptional communication skills and impeccable attention to detailA self-driven, diligent, and hardworking individual with a strong go-getter mindset.
- Knowledge of digital conversion measurement (Google Ads, LinkedIn, UTM tracking strategy, etc.).Experience deploying multi-touch attribution and working with different attribution models.
