We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help shape our all-in-one privacy solution and join our mission to show the world that protecting your privacy online can be simple.

The Opportunity

As a member of our Data Science team you'll design, implement, and analyze experiments for product and business objectives including our search engine, local places, revenue optimization, ad spend, and app installs.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional team members across the organization and drive impact through these experiments, validating direction and building trust through data while becoming an expert in our business intelligence data like searches, installs, and revenue.

Our data meets rigorous privacy standards and is necessarily sparse; you'll have to think creatively to derive substantial and actionable insights from less data than you may be used to, but our team is committed to thriving in this unique environment.

What You Will Bring to DuckDuckGo

1. Experiment design and analysis expertise.
2. Experience with or willingness to learn Tableau, our business intelligence tool. Experience with a business tool is required, for example PowerBI or Periscope.
3. Experience helping others visualize their data is preferred.
4. Natural language processing experience is a plus.
5. And the basics: expertise in SQL and query optimization; familiarity with columnar databases (e.g. Redshift, Clickhouse, BigQuery, Druid); expertise building data visualizations and dashboards.
