The Royal Caribbean Group’s Silversea Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Accounts Payable Junior Accountant reporting to the Sr. Accountant.

This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.
Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Junior Accountant executes accounts payable tasks working in conjunction with the various accounting teams and with the various stakeholders in different locations. This position will be in charge of accounts payable accounting (invoices, matching, reconciliation, payments etc.). This position requires an individual to be detail oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment continually looking to institute process improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Match all PO’s to the invoice, researching all discrepancies and ensuring all costs are charged in a timely and accurate manner in the general ledger;
- Record invoices;
- Manage the resolution of disputes or question regarding invoices, liaising with internal and external business partners on a daily basis;
- Ensure banking and task information are collected;
- Track deposits and final payments to vendors;
- Maintain spreadsheet to ensure that all expenses have been accounted for in the correct month;
- Prepare payments journal for AP invoices and travel agent commissions;
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, or a closely relaed field of study
- 1 - 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Accountable and detail oriented
- Highly organized
- Team player
- Advanced skills with Excel, Word and MS Outlook. Experience with Navision preferred
