We are looking for a HRBP to join our team in New York.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Have frequent 1:1’s with Investment Team members to review staffing and workloads across the US
  2. Support / advise on staffing decisions based on their background, experience, nationality and needs of development
  3. Gather feedback on individuals as needed and feed back to individuals in the US and globally (as required), ensuring employees are empowered to act on, and develop from, feedback
  4. Deliver (alongside an Investment Team member) semi-annual performance reviews
  5. Advise the HR Committee on US compensation, promotion of team members (globally)
  6. Advise and coach junior team members on how to prioritize their time based on a thorough understanding of our business and deal flow
  7. Provide general coaching to team members and empower them to share feedback and come up with solutions to problems that will better the business and culture
  8. Advise on legal matters in the US (e.g. employee relations, employee terminations, policies, etc.)
  9. Manage all US benefits (to include open enrollment, liaising with employees on benefits questions, etc.)
  10. Managing payroll
  11. Drafting and issuing all US contracts
  12. Reviewing all US policies and updating, as needed, based on legislation changes and business strategy
  13. Manage visa process for employees relocating to the US.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years working in HR, in a very hands-on capacity
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a flat environment
  • Strong knowledge of US employment law
  • Strong understanding of US benefits market
  • Experience managing payroll (desirable, not required)
  • Experience managing visas
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability and willingness to work in a standalone role (they will be part of a global HR team but all other HR team members will be based in France, for the foreseeable future)
