Operational Analyst - Patient Care Services PART-TIME

This position is responsible for providing organization, planning, direction, and coordinated administration of Strategic Goal drivers associated with the Patient Care Services, with a strong focus on data analysis, quality assurance, and operational improvement initiatives. This position is responsible for data management and assistance with operational improvement initiatives within Patient Care Services.
Position Responsibilities
- Collecting/mining data, preparing analyses and reports using published standards to identify progress and adverse trends, and making recommendations and implementing changes when needed.
- Creating and maintaining databases to assure the availability of accurate and timely data analyses.
- Creating, submitting, and leading multiple monthly/weekly/or biweekly meetings focusing on data/statistical reports and trends for Patient Care Services.
- Partnering with Patient Care Services leadership in developing and managing projects related to performance targets, reporting variances, and creating remediation plans.
- Partner with Operational Finance to assist with operational budget planning and trending financial data (expense management, productive, and nonproductive time).
- Partner with the Staffing and Scheduling System team to evaluate functionality within scheduler, timekeeper, and reporting functionality (participates in the building, testing, and mapping of systems which interface with the automated staffing and scheduling system).
- Assist with data organization, display, and analysis for purposes of Magnet designation.
- Partners with PCS Leadership to organize data/reports to highlight long and short-term staffing vacancy, patient flow, and resource allocation to ensure safe patient care.
- Provide Patient Care Services Team historical data for decision support.
- Must possess the ability to prioritize projects in line with Patient Care Services Strategic goals.
- This position will also partner with the Patient Care Executive Team to develop and manage strategic, operating, and financial plans to accomplish the Nemours Enterprise/Florida Mission. Participates in work to maintain regulatory standard requirements at the State, Federal, and Joint Commission level.
Position Requirements
- Associate Degree required; Bachelor Degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year analytics experience required, preferably in healthcare; 3+ years analytics experience preferred.
