Chief of Staff, Surface Program

ABOUT THE JOB

A Chief of Staff provides leverage to the team they support, delivering results by maximizing the effectiveness of the people around them while driving individual projects themselves. The ideal candidate is high ownership and low-ego, able to crack tough problems on their own and use their operating experience and strong interpersonal skills to empower their team. Success will require building trust quickly in a fast-paced environment and reliably executing multiple complex efforts.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing strategic counsel and support on all matters pertaining to the program.
• Facilitate the decision-making process by coordinating information flow, ensuring communication clarity, and aligning priorities.
• Lead strategic initiatives and projects as directed by leadership, ensuring they align with the overall business strategy and objectives.
• Understand the priorities of the program and act as a stand-in for leadership to represent them interally.
• Coordinate and prepare for customer, partner, and Anduril executive leadership meetings, including setting agendas, tracking action items, and ensuring follow-through.
• Drive the success of the program by working closely with team leads, independently identifying potential roadblocks, and devising solutions to clear them.
• Oversee high-level human resources functions, including talent acquisition strategies, leadership development, and succession planning.
• Ensure key resources, including headcount and facilities, are procured and prepared ahead of emerging program needs.
• Represent the program in external events and industry forums as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Operational experience in strategy, investment banking, or consulting preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Science or Engineering field or equivalent practical experience preferred
• Experience working at a US government contractor, subcontractor, or within the government preferred
• Experience with development of complex hardware systems, especially ships, preferred
• Previous success as a Chief of Staff supporting executives preferred
• MBA or similar graduate degree preferred
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance

US Salary Range$168,000—$252,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
