The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager to support the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) Operations team in San Antonio, TX !
Position Responsibilities:
Serve as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Level 2 for CERP Production Mod IPT
Direct the CERP staffing plan for aircraft inductions
Lead the Hot Start initiative within SAT
Track CERP action items to ensure timely resolution and closure
Integrate lessons learned into ongoing CERP activities
Implement Mod IPT plans, policies, and procedures and contribute to the development of Mod IPT business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives
Leads by demonstrating and holding all accountable to the Boeing Values and Behaviors
Leads, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers, in addition to maintaining CERP modification readiness
Implement Mod IPT plans, policies, and procedures and contribute to the development of Mod IPT business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives
Oversee and approve technical approaches, deliverables, and processes to execute CERP modification work with high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency
Provide oversight and responsibility for aircraft mod operations and personnel after induction
Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines
Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
5+ years of experience in leadership, leading teams, initiatives and projects to meet business objectives and influence change
5+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives
5+ years of experience in coaching, guiding and mentoring teams
5+ years of experience in working to lead and develop teams to execute to safety, compliance, quality and cost
5+ years of experience working within a cross-functional organizational environment
Ability to work any shift including weekends and overtime
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience within an Integrated Product Team (IPT)
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
Experience in leading large scale / organizational change
Boeing Problem Solving Model Experience
