Responsibilities

Serves as an HR business partner to proactively address and resolve complex HR matters. Provides assistance and education in identifying and resolving employee issues throughout CMC for all campuses. Advises on applicable local, state, and federal employment and labor laws and regulations, progressive corrective action, policies and procedures, and conducts internal investigations. Investigates and prepares response to complaints to outside agencies such as EEOC and DFEH. Facilitates workplace conflict resolution between staff, management and leadership. Participates in the design, administration and training of policies and procedures that support CMC’s priorities and compliance with related laws and regulations that pertain to HR.Under the direction of HR Leadership, the SHRBP may be involved in the coordination and facilitation of HR related organizational change through work redesign and restructure initiatives. May be assigned to complex projects that last a significant period of time and requires the ability to work flexible hours. Develops and maintains partnerships throughout the HR service line, to deliver value-added services to management and employees in accordance with the needs and objectives of the organization. The successful SHRBP will demonstrate a professional objectivity when supporting both leaders and employees and act as a change agent for the organization.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) is required
  • Three years diverse HR Generalist or Employee Relations experience required
  • Combination of education and relevant HR background may be substituted.
