As a Cybersecurity Engineer within the Product Cybersecurity group supporting the Proprietary Platforms business area, you'll have the opportunity to help design and develop simulators and training systems for both military and commercial customers. These devices range from desktop training tools to highly sophisticated weapon system simulators and full-flight training systems, complete with advanced visual, motion, and simulator interoperability capabilities.
Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to guide a team of security engineers and operators. Together, you'll design and implement cybersecure information systems while ensuring the continued maintenance of systems' Authority to Operate (ATO). This role offers a unique opportunity to lead innovative cybersecurity efforts that support cutting-edge training and simulation technologies.

What You Will Do:
Serve as the Cybersecurity Lead for a team of seven engineers in an Agile matrixed environment.
Lead the design, development and implementation of solutions to meet DoD Cybersecurity requirements.
Generate and present technical design to the internal team and external customer
Assist in the development of responses to Request for Proposals (RFP).
Work with the master schedulers to create and maintain the project schedule, aligned with planning and delivery dates.
Assist Senior Engineering Manager with cybersecurity cost accounting and project schedule management activities.
Interface with the customer, keeping up to date on the design, integration and testing of cybersecurity solutions.
Lead Cybersecurity Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings.
Assist Government Information System Security Manager (ISSM) with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Accreditation activities.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with vulnerability scanning, testing and remediation.
Experience in environments requiring compliance with frameworks such as STIGs, RMF, or NIST 800-53
Experience creating and delivering A&A documentation.
Experience maintaining cyber security documentation.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date
Qualifications We Prefer:
Hold either a CISSP or Comptia Security + CE certification.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in systems administration.
Minimum 7 years’ hands on experience remediating Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scan results.
Minimum 7 years’ hands on experience configuring McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO) and/or McAfee Endpoint Security (McAfee ENS).
Minimum 3 years’ hands on experience with Virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware.
