What role does the Senior Client Relations Analyst perform?

The primary focus of the Senior Client Relations Analyst role is the day-to-day management of Franklin Templeton’s subadvisory business and on-going world-class service delivery to our client firms in partnership with our Strategic Account Managers and Client Service-Business Development Managers.  The Senior Client Relations Analyst is responsible for impeccably managing the subadvisory business, fostering exceptional client service experiences for our client firms, and developing strong working relationships with internal business partners to better serve our clients.  The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who has experience in the mutual fund and insurance subadvisory industry, possesses high client service standards, and always puts team success first.

What are the job requirements and ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Client Relations Analyst?

The Senior Client Relations Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of client support relative to our subadvisory business, including but not limited to:

  • Interfacing with internal business units and collaborating with peers up to executive level management from across the organization to deliver positive client service experiences to our partner firms.

  • Fielding complex ongoing and ad-hoc requests regarding portfolio, compliance, and fund information for internal and external clients on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis.

  • Submitting, reviewing, and delivering RFIs, RFPs, 15c’s, Due Diligence questionnaires, and custom reports for mutual fund, variable insurance trusts, and subadvised clients, ensuring client deadlines are met.

  • Fostering collaborative and productive relationships with key internal departments to ensure accurate, high-quality service is provided. 

  • Serving as a subject matter expert for subadvisory business and liaison to other business units while leading projects or participating in cross functional efforts.

  • Crafting and gaining approval for external communications deployment.

  • Ensuring all legal agreements are updated and executed between Franklin Templeton and our clients.

  • Assisting Legal department when requesting Board Reporting, Annual Contracts, and other reporting.

  • Resolving complex issues regarding mutual fund, subadvised, VIT and CIT account set-up & coding.

  • Assisting Strategic Account Managers and/or Client Service-Business Development Managers with major events involving subadvised clients (e.g., onboarding, terminations, mergers, large rebalances, etc.)

  • Collaborating with Client Service-Business Development Managers and our clients in coordinating and participating in Compliance Due Diligence meetings.

What ideal qualifications, skills, and experience would help someone to be successful in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5-10 years’ experience in the asset management industry, with a strong knowledge of mutual funds, retirement, insurance, and subadvisory businesses.

  • Exceptional client service standards and proven history of delivering superior client service results.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict deadlines.

  • Microsoft Office skills such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams

  • Ability to work independently and exercise excellent judgment consistent with department guidelines.

  • A team player with great interpersonal skills, time management skills, and a positive, “can do” attitude.

  • Series 7 and 63 preferred (can be acquired on the job).
