Job Title: Quality Supervisor
Department: Quality Assurance
Reports To: Quality Manager / Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the quality assurance team to ensure that products and processes meet defined quality standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with internal and external requirements, leading quality control initiatives, and driving continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise quality assurance inspectors and technicians to ensure adherence to company standards and procedures.
- Implement and monitor quality control systems and procedures in accordance with industry standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
- Coordinate product testing, inspections, and audits (internal and external).
- Maintain detailed documentation and quality records in line with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
- Provide training and development to quality staff on procedures and quality tools.
- Support customer complaint investigations and ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare and present quality reports and performance metrics to management.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance or control, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and tools (5S).
- Familiarity with quality industry-specific standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP or MES systems.
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the automotive industry.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily in a production or manufacturing setting.
- May involve standing for extended periods, inspecting materials/products.
- Occasional travel for audits or supplier visits may be required.
