Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to assist with community-based data collection as part of a grant-funded project focused on tobacco retail environments. This role is ideal for individuals interested in public health, community research, or data collection.
Responsibilities:
Collecting data.
Recording and assisting in compiling the information for analysis.
Salary Range:
$17.50 per hour.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-Time.
10 hours per week.
Required Education and Experience:
Undergraduate or Graduate student at AU receiving a degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Biostatistics, or related field.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Health Promotion Management or Public Health graduate student with field work experience.
Having their own vehicle preferred.
Additional Information:
Students with a Federal Work Study aware are highly encouraged to apply.
Research Assistants will be working in the Healthy Schools, Healthy Communities lab in the Department of Health Studies. They will be collecting data in pairs at tobacco retailers once to twice a week throughout DC using a Qualtrics assessment tool.
End date of this position is December 13, 2024.
