A Brief Overview
The Director, Broker Sales is responsible for identifying, developing and growing broker partnerships. and building external relationships with key stakeholder partners so TriNet becomes the most desired partner in the PEO industry.

What you will do

  • Hire, engage, develop, and retain a team of Broker Account Managers.
  • Motivate, inspire, and hold team accountable to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Responsible for driving broker growth with existing contacts as well as year over year growth to broker business.
  • Travel with Broker Account Manager to key accounts to assist with presentations and relationship development.
  • Act as an Executive Sponsor on larger broker accounts which require a greater time commitment from TriNet .
  • Work with internal sales leadership (Regional Directors and Executive Directors) to identify Sales Consultants who have an interest, ability, and skills needed to partner with brokers.
  • Partner with internal sales leadership to hold Sales Consultants accountable to request for proposal timelines so the Broker Account Managers can continue to focus on external relationship building and new business cultivation.
  • Manage Sales Consultant certification process to certify and train identified Sales Consultants on broker mindset, external factors such as open market carrier options, compensation rates of other PEOs, etc.
  • Work with Regional Directors and Executive Directors on broker opportunity allocation and assign new local brokers to market level certified Sales Consultants.
  • Partners with General Agents to conduct CPE seminars to gain access to additional local market brokers.
  • Recommend brokers to sales leadership for consideration to be transitioned to dedicated Broker Account Management structure for dedicated assigned service support.
  • Identify, develop, and train new local brokers on TriNet product, service and process.
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 10+ years in Sales or Broker experience
  • Typically 3+ years management experience with direct reports

Skills and Abilities

  • PEO knowledge and experience a plus
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues and build external partners.
  • Ability to motivate and hold direct reports accountable to expectations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate cross functionally with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Adaptability to the job and working in a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
