The Compound Management business unit of Evotec (US) Inc., www.evotec.com, a drug discovery solutions international organization, offers a range of services to help organizations build, grow, and/or manage small molecule collections to the highest quality in support of high throughput biological screening. Our facility is home to sample collections owned by governmental, not-for-profit, and commercial organizations. Our experience managing the U.S NIH’s Molecular Libraries Small Molecule Repository (MLSMR) as well as sample collections owned by academic and commercial organizations allow us to deliver optimal solutions for this critical function.
Role and Responsibilities:
Evotec (US) Inc. has a Compound Management Research Assistant position, located at the Branford, CT. facility. The purpose of this position is to provide laboratory processing of client orders, the majority of which will involve manual weighing and liquid handling of compounds. The position requires a highly motivated individual able to work independently, and as part of a team, ensure the successful fulfilment of orders. This role is expected to have further due diligence and increased understanding of workflows, SOPs, etc. Responsibilities include performing the day-to-day work and participating in the workload scheduling. Other responsibilities in the laboratory may be asked at the discretion of the laboratory manager.
The compounds may be potentially hazardous. Prior to start, Evotec (US) Inc. will train the individual in lab safety. Safety glasses, lab coats, and gloves will be required while working. Branford site specific training, automation, computers, and any other material will be provided in support of compound management activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline
- 1 plus years of experience
- Proficiency in Excel and expertise in database management are essential
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication skills are required.
Responsibilities

- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

- Responsible to manage sample software in the processing of client orders to ensure accuracy
- Troubleshoot technical issues such as barcode printers and other lab equipment commonly used
- The role involves improving inventory management processes and collaborating with team members to enhance system functionality.
