Job Objective:
Operates forklift, loads and unloads trucks, organizes warehouse, maintains inventory, tracks inbound and outbound orders.

- Maintain security and quality control of all merchandise and material.
- Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of equipment.
- Sort and load trucks per Salvation Army policy.
- Maintain order and safety on the dock for all items being loaded or unloaded.
- Supervise operation of the forklift as necessary, being sure operators observe all safety regulations.
- Supervise operation of weight scales and proper recording of weights.
- Must be available for a flexible schedule; ability to work early shifts, late shifts, and some weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, certifications, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
Education & Experience:
High School Degree or equivalent. Two years transportation, warehouse, and/or loading dock experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift truck experience and Illinois OSHA Certified.
Certifications:
Valid Driver’s License required to operate and move trucks as needed. Successfully complete and pass the Illinois OSHA Forklift Certification every 3 years if not already certified.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with customers, management, and co-workers.
Basic computer skills including but not limited to use of the payroll program, and all other programs or systems that are adopted by the TSA ARC.
Ability to use basic math skills.
Good speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity.
