We have high aspirations for SonarLint and aim to better support developers in their quest for clean code across various IDEs and languages. To further this goal, we are seeking to expand our team with a dedicated Product Manager focused on SonarLint for Visual Studio.<br/>As the SonarLint for Visual Studio Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our product. You will be responsible for conducting research, clarifying the needs of our Visual Studio users, and prioritizing them in the product roadmap.<br/>This is a great opportunity for you to challenge yourself and take your Product Management career to new heights, as you'll be able to demonstrate and perfect your problem discovery, user research, prioritization, and strategic thinking skills.<br/>As part of the Product Management team, you will work alongside other passionate Product Managers eager to collaborate with you. In addition, you will work closely with SonarLint engineers and product designers to ensure that the solutions they propose effectively meet the desired outcomes and that SonarLint effectively helps developers write clean and secure code in Visual Studio. <br/>By joining us, you will bring your deep knowledge of software development, your passion for code quality, and your experience as a Product Manager to help SonarSource reach the next level and provide an awesome user experience to millions of developers.
<h3>As a Product Manager, you will</h3>
<ul>
<li>Research, clarify and prioritize opportunities to build and maintain an effective roadmap.</li><li>Engage our community users and enterprise customers to understand their needs and identify opportunities.</li><li>Collaborate with the engineering, product design and UX research teams on, problem discovery, solution discovery and outcome validation.</li><li>Work with the engineering teams to ensure that there is a good balance between innovation, consolidation, and stability.</li><li>Collaborate closely with other product managers to align the SonarLint for Visual Studio roadmap with the product vision and the strategic priorities of the SonarLint suite and the overall Sonar solution.</li><li>Follow what's happening in Visual Studio and the wider .NET developer ecosystem to anticipate changes and feed your thoughts with potential innovations.</li><li>Attend conferences and give talks if you like.</li><li>Help the Product Management team grows in its organization, tools, and processes.</li></ul>
<h3>The skills you will demonstrate</h3>
<ul>
<li>A strong experience in software development and a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle; coding experience using Visual Studio is a strong plus.</li><li>A genuine interest in the .NET environment and a strong motivation to understand the needs and pains of .NET developers.</li><li>Experience in software product management, preferably in an agile context; we can consider candidates with a proven track record as Product owners.</li><li>Highly autonomous and pragmatic.</li><li>Open-minded and very positive can-do attitude.</li><li>Comfortable in dealing with change, complexity and uncertainty.</li><li>Self-confident enough to challenge the status quo as well as to receive feedback.</li><li>Leadership: you take initiative and demonstrate your ability to lead a subject from beginning to end.</li></ul>Words from the TeamOur team is made of 13 passionate teammates making sure our products provide the features developers love in line with the company strategy.
