Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Logistics Specialist (level 2) or a Principal Supply Chain Logistics Specialist (level 3). This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and supports the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division.

What You’ll Get To Do:

  • In this role, you will provide technical, tactical, and execution support in various aspects of industry standard supply chain business process areas, primarily supply chain production and supply chain logistics, as well as supply chain business operations.

  • Manage the shipping and receipt of goods, including opening packages, verifying quantities, and confirming accurate item delivery

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize workloads and manage concurrent projects and timelines.

  • Detail oriented, strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Implement End-to-End material management measures, including FIFO adherence, material variances, cycle time optimization, scrap/obsolescence management, cycle/physical counting, and audits, etc., to ensure inventory accuracy and to mitigate stockouts or overstocking. This includes the development & improvement of critical metrics.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Drive positive change with the team to continuously improve internal processes along with external supply of materials.

  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies

  • Implement and maintain efficient inventory control processes and procedures

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory-related issues

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure optimal stock levels

  • Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

  • Be able to handle stress effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Manage the cycle count process, performing cycle counts and resolving discrepancies, including inventory in the warehouse, as well as in work-in-progress (WIP) areas.

  • Ability to lead and develop a team to support the business requirements.

  • Valid United States Driver License in good standard

  • Ability to pass required certifications such as, but not limited to: Certification in hazardous materials handling and transportation and International Air Transport Association (IATA): certification in hazardous materials handling and transportation

  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. without assistance

  • Ability to operate a sit-down Forklift Ability to operate a Reach truck Ability to operate a cargo van or similar vehicle

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Supply Chain Logistics Specialist: 2 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors Degree; OR 0 Years of work experience with a Masters degree; OR an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
