This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.We are seeking a motivated Data Scientist II who can apply their technical expertise and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. This role is on the Operations Technology team, where we’re creating digital infrastructure for the entire Operations organization. Our primary focus is on building scalable solutions that automate our business processes. You will bring your perspective to aerospace applications for Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin’s facilities. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and ready to dive in.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design, implement, and optimize machine learning (ML) models, including the collection and preparation of data
- Create algorithms that generate content based on learned data patterns
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to implement and deploy ML models in production environments
- Conduct model testing, validation, and optimization, and improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of software systems
- Work with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
- Implement containerization and orchestration technologies via services like git, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Maintain comprehensive documentation or models, tools, processes, and experiments
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience designing ML models and deploying them to a production environment
- Proficiency in languages used in ML development, such as Python or R
- Experience with real-time analytics and real-time data processing pipelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and cross-team collaboration, with the ability to work with and communicate complex systems to a varied user base
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in deployment / version control services like git
- Proven experience with large language models (LLMs), deep learning, and generative AL models
- Success in optimizing and scaling ML models and infrastructure to handle high traffic and large datasets
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Compensation Range for:
CA applicants is $112,337.00-$157,271.10;WA applicants is $112,337.00-$157,271.10Other site ranges may differ
