The team is responsible for foundational backend work on the consumer-facing components of Wolt. Consumer Platform is currently filled with seniority as well as rising stars. In that mix, there are plenty of challenges for you to solve with the possibility of learning and sharing your knowledge on the way.</p><p>The Consumer Platform team plays a unique role within the engineering team at Wolt. You will have a direct influence on what is shown to Wolt customers on the client apps! The team is responsible for developing back-end components with a balanced touch of writing code, DevOps, and software reliability engineering (SRE), all while maintaining and continuously improving the scalability and robustness of our systems. The team is well known throughout the organization as a group of highly collaborative engineers capable of driving cross-team initiatives. Examples of recent initiatives include improving the developer experience within Wolt’s largest shared codebase, facilitating technical projects in large cross-team efforts, uncovering and addressing systemic issues in our codebase, and translating pain points into new features.</p><p>We have a strong Python community at Wolt (You can check our Python-talk playlist to hear what our engineers think about Python <a href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLguFXrFRjbcPMNQephIlVi7Kz16PtqCaA">here</a>.) and modern Python (FastAPI, Flask) is our bread and butter.
