What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities across the campus location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout school buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verifying access permissions and reporting unusual behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support arrival, dismissal, and special event operations by directing foot and vehicle traffic, assisting with access control, and maintaining a professional presence during daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
• Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
