The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of our facilities and machinery / equipment used for production processes, ensuring safety and quality in alignment with applicable procedures; In this role, you collaborate closely with employees across the plant, support safe and reliable operations, and handle basic activities in IT systems to document and communicate your work; By keeping equipment and facilities in good working order, you help secure stable production, protect colleagues and the environment, and contribute to a clean, well‑organized workplace that enables the team to perform at its best.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Maintenance Technician, are to:

• Demonstrate ability and working knowledge to conduct and complete maintenance on company facilities and equipment across the warehouse, plant and field;
• Maintain an active inventory of parts, supplies and tools to complete needed repairs and meet availability expectations;
• Coordinate and schedule service and maintenance work, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to production;
• Maintain company facilities and equipment to enhance value and usefulness and to provide a safe working environment, including cleaning, decontamination and basic housekeeping;
• Ensure needs assessment and compliance with all applicable hazardous work permits, including but not limited to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), line breaking, fall protection, confined space and atmospheric monitoring;
• Maintain accurate records for all equipment and facility maintenance activities performed, leveraging internal IT systems (e.g. Maintenance Connection), and clearly document and communicate;
• Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety (HSE) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards (e.g. general shop floor and machine safety and operating procedures), promptly reporting issues to the appropriate areas, Safety technicians and leadership;
• Perform other tasks across functional areas depending on site and seasonal needs, including supporting waste elimination and value creation by reducing variation in production processes and equipment settings, driving adoption of 5S practices, and keeping metrics and other relevant information current on visual boards to foster teamwork.

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

• High School Diploma or GED;
• Basic knowledge of IT and comfort working with systems and standard tools (e.g. Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving record guidelines for operating a company vehicle;
• Ability to lift, push and pull 40–50 pounds on a regular basis and perform physically demanding tasks in a production environment;
• Willingness and availability to meet overtime demands, including occasional work on weekends and holidays;
• Strong sense of safety, quality and responsibility, with the ability to follow procedures, communicate clearly with colleagues and leadership, and collaborate effectively across the plant.

 

Posting is available until June 9, 2026.

Employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate of $25.69.
