Jr. EHS Engineer

SUNLIGHT RECYCLING S.A. was established in 2014 in Komotini. It is one of Europe's most advanced lead-acid battery recycling units. The expansion underway will also bring it to the top of single unit recycling plants, as one of the biggest producers of secondary lead in Europe.

Keen to further empower our team by onboarding more talent, we are looking for a Jr. EHS Engineer to join our Team. The role is based in Komotini, Greece, at the Sunlight Recycling Plant

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include

·         Support daily Health, Safety & Environment activities

·         Participate in workplace inspections

·         Support in conducting risk assessments

·         Assist in incident investigations

·         Support health and safety programs (PPE, hygiene, signage)

·         Maintain EHS records and develop reports

·         Participate in personnel training, drills and awareness activities

·         Monitor environmental parameters (emissions, waste management, storage of hazardous materials)

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering,   Mechanical Engineering, Environmental

Engineering, Mining/Metallurgical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Production and Management Engineering

·         0–2 years of EHS or industrial experience preferably in a similar role

·         Good knowledge of English, written and spoken.

·         Good knowledge of PC and office applications (MS Office – especially Excel & PowerPoint)

·         Strong safety and compliance mindset

·         Knowledge of ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environment) standards will considered an asset
