Primary Function

This leadership role is accountable for the I&O Global Connect (Network) team and is responsible for the Global Network standards including routing, architecture, firewalls, DMZ, Cloud connectivity, IP address spaces, DNS, DHCP, Quality-of-Service standards, VLAN standards, wireless standards, global hardware vendors and network carriers.   This includes both planning, designing, implementation, and day-to-day support of the network infrastructure.

 

They will have expert knowledge in and direct responsibility for the North America networks services and technologies including wired/wireless, local and wide area network, routing, switching, day-to-day support, security, contracts, stakeholder / vendor relationships, and budgets.

 

Responsibilities also include leading and setting the global network roadmap and strategy, governance, policies, & standards to ensure consistency, quality, efficiency, and productivity with solutions that are secure, cost optimized and right sized. 

 

As a member of the I&O leadership team, the role contributes to the development and execution of the BTS and I&O strategy and ensures its alignment with the enterprise's business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success.  This individual will demonstrate project management acumen, has excellent vendor management skills, is an adept leader of people, plus has a superior service-oriented approach to IT operations.

 

This individual is also responsible for the management of the outsourced SAP Basis and systems administration teams – ensuring integration and alignment between the teams and oversight of all off-site activities and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Create and foster a knowledge sharing culture and environment of open communication, collaboration, accountability, and problem solving.
  • Increase team productivity by focusing on development, coaching, education, and support.
  • Lead the strategic plan to identify and recommend opportunities that improve and enhance global network services.
  • Lead the strategic plan to identify and recommend opportunities that improve and enhance global network and end-to-end communications while finding opportunities to improve service, availability and reduce total cost of ownership.
  • Directly manage the team responsible for North American network services including WAN, LAN, Wifi and other carrier-based services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, internal IT partners, and vendors.
  • Lead or assist with negotiation of network service contracts.
  • Keep current regarding trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Review, approve, and budget all network services.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in related field
  • 15+ years of technical and management expertise.
  • Experience managing complex SLA and OLA based agreements.
  • Display a passionate, enthusiastic, and positive open mindset.
