POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing insightful management reporting to the commercial sales organization and developing financial models to guide strategic decisions. This role will oversee and actively manage multiple department’s trade promotional budgets, reconcile balance sheets, and optimize month end reporting. Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager. This role is a hybrid role that requires being onsite in the West Hills, CA office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:

  • Prepare monthly general ledger account analyses and related journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Conduct ad‑hoc financial analyses to support sales decision‑making and identify opportunities to enhance profitability
  • Partner with sales teams to actively manage and monitor trade promotional budgets
  • Gather, validate, and reconcile financial data to maintain accurate balance sheet accounts in accordance with company policy and GAAP
  • Support the commercial organization in developing the annual operating plan, financial forecasts, and long‑range strategic plans through analytical insights and modeling

  • A demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new analytical tools, financial systems, and evolving business priorities

CAPABILITIES & SKILLS REQUIRED

In order to take on these challenges, you’ll need to have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Finance, Business Analytics, Accounting, or a related field requiring strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build complex models, perform data analysis, and develop insightful reporting
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, including profit & loss preparation, balance sheet mechanics, and the annual budgeting process
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as JD Edwards (JDE), including the ability to extract, analyze, and validate financial data
  • Onsite in West Hills, CA every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday - no exceptions.
