Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Field Engineer to join our team in Sacramento, CA.
Typical responsibilities for the Field Engineer include:
Reports on work in progress and assures that the construction contractor administers and completes his construction contract in a competent and timely manner in conformance with terms of the contract.
Attends the construction contractor's preparatory meetings for each definable segment feature of work and ensures that minutes of meetings are documented.
In connection with required design changes using service changes or differing site conditions, conducts studies or investigations, compiling data as to existing field conditions. Prepares sketches, description of the contract change, cost estimates, and evaluation of impact to the construction progress schedule.
Reviews and provides recommendations to the contractor's construction progress schedule. Reviews contractor's periodic progress reports to ensure that work is being performed in a timely manner.
Confirms the proper storage of approved construction materials and work placed during the reporting period.
Prepares monthly progress reports. Reports are prepared to indicate scheduled and actual percentages, complete and expected dates of completion related to identifiable causes of delay.
Maintains contractor's submittal register
Receives and reviews contractor submittals for compliance with the contract drawings and specifications. Prepares sketches, description of the contract change, cost estimates, and evaluation of impact to the construction progress schedule.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineer or Construction Management
- Knowledgeable of all safety requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures
Additional Information
- Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000.
